For the 18th edition, The Walk of Courage PROCURE will take place in two forms:

1. For 30 days throughout Quebec, from May 16 to June 16, 2024.
2. In-person event at Mount Royal Park in Montreal, Sunday June 16, 2024.

Event at Mount Royal Park

Participants from the greater Montreal area, join us on Mount Royal for a pleasant family day!

DATE: Sunday, June 16, 2024

LOCATION: Mount Royal Park

MEETING POINT: Maison Smith parking lot (1292 Chem. Remembrance, Montreal, QC H3H)

IMPORTANT: The Camillien-Houde Road will be closed to vehicle traffic from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, 2024. Please use Chemin Remembrance to access the parking lot.

EVENT SCHEDULE

10:30 a.m. : Opening of reception, arrival of participants and distribution of lunch coupons. (Maison Smith parking lot)

11:00 a.m.: Start of the event and welcome remarks.

11:05 a.m.: Departure of The Walk of Courage PROCURE. (Maison Smith parking lot)

11:30 a.m.: Arrival of the Walkers at the Belvédère Camillien-Houde.

11:45 a.m.: Start of lunch service offered by the MTY Group. (Belvédère Camillien-Houde)

12:00 p.m.: Word of thanks and unveiling of the amount raised during the campaign. (Belvédère Camillien-Houde)

12:30 p.m.: End of lunch service offered by the MTY Group.

12:30 p.m.: End of the event and reopening of Voie Camillien-Houde to car traffic.

WALKING ROUTE

Distance: 2 km

Starting point: Maison Smith parking lot (1292 Chem. Remembrance, Montreal, QC H3H)

Arrival point: Belvédère Camillien-Houde (1576 Voie Camillien-Houde, Montréal, QC H2W 1S8)

Type of route: Path laid out in gravel. Closed shoes are recommended. Please note that the route ends with approximately 100 steps to access the Belvédère Camilien-Houde. There are no benches to sit on the trail. IMPORTANT: The route is not accessible for people with reduced mobility, for wheelchairs or for strollers

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Weather: The event will take place rain or shine! We suggest you follow the weather forecast to adjust your clothing accordingly and bring sunscreen if necessary.

Lunch: Lunch included for all registered participants who have paid the registration fee. You must register at the reception table when you arrive on site to receive your lunch coupon. Additional lunch coupons: $10/person (payable by credit card form only, no cash or Interac machine). Limited quantity, first come. On sale at the reception tent in the Maison Smith parking lot from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and at the PROCURE tent at Belvédère Camillien-Houde from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

T-shirt: No t-shirts will be handed out on-site. All t-shirts are mailed before the event to participants who registered by May 26, 2024, at 6 p.m.

Water: Gallons of water will be available on site. Please plan to bring your own reusable bottle so you can refill it.

GETTING TO MOUNT ROYAL PARK

PUBLIC TRANSPORT *BEST OPTION*

Mount Royal Park is easily accessible by public transit. The following transit lines have routes that pass near the meeting point.

BUS: 107 - 11 - 144 - 66

METRO: The nearest metro station is Atwater, on the Green line.

BY CAR (PARKING)

There are 4 paid parking lots ($) in Mount Royal Park: two to the west, near the Lac-aux-Castors pavilion, and two to the east, near the Maison Smith. If you plan to come by car, please note that parking may be difficult. Several sites on Mount Royal are under construction and therefore places are greatly reduced.
